How To: Setting Up Market Pricing List Preferences (03-90-03)

Overview

This selection is used to specify the total number of markets used by your company and to assign a name for each market.

If markets are defined in this selection, the Market Pricing screen will display in Inventory Master File Inq/Maint whenever an item is entered.

Step-by-Step

  1. Enter “N” at the ‘Correct?’ prompt.

  1. In the ‘Total Number of Price Markets’ field, enter the total number of price markets (up to 15) that your company is using.

  1. Enter “Y” at the ‘Warning: Activating this feature will permanently alter the operation of the Inventory Master Maint selection. Continue’ message.
    NOTE: This message only displays the first time markets are set up.

  1. In the ‘Titles’ column, accept or modify the field titles for the ‘Selling Price,’ ‘Minimum Price,’ ‘Regular Spiff,’ and ‘Promo Spiff.’ These titles apply to all markets that are set up in this selection.

  1. In the ‘Market Name’ field, enter the name of the market. Repeat this step until all market names are set up.
    • This name appears when you select the Market Pricing option in Inventory Master File Inq/Maint.

  1. Enter “Y” at the ‘Correct?’ prompt.
