  1. At the main prompt, enter a specific fieldn number (row) to change, or enter “C” to start with row 1 in the ‘C.R.T.’ column, and then move through each one sequentially.

  1. In ‘C.R.T.’ column, enter the name of the field (up to 14 alphanumeric characters) that will display on the Extended Inventory Master file screen.

  1. In the first ‘Printer’ column, enter the field title (up to 8 alphanumeric characters) that will appear on printouts. If you need more room, use the Inventory 244 second column of the ‘Printer’ column (for 8 additional alphanumeric characters).

  1. To the right of the second printer column, you will see four more columns. These provide information about the data that can be entered in this field on the Extended Inventory screen:

    Field Length
The number in the first column is the length of the field on the Extended Inventory screen.

    Column 1
An “A” indicates that the field on the Extended Inventory Screen is alphanumeric.

An “N” indicates that the field on the Extended Inventory Screen is numeric only.

    Column 2
A “U” indicates that the field on the Extended Inventory Screen is user maintainable.

A “P” indicates that the field is hard-coded into the program and cannot be changed.

NOTE: There are no fields with a status of “P” in this selection because all fields are user maintainable.

    Column 3
This column does not apply to this selection because all fields can be changed and the field names will appear on the CRT as displayed.

  1. Repeat Steps 2-3 until all field titles are set up.
