Introduction: Sales Statistics Tables (05-10-09)
Overview
This selection is used to set up sales statistic codes, which are used during Point of Sale Entry (02-02) to gather additional information about a customer. The collected information is viewed by printing the Sales Statistics Report (05-10-03). You can use the GUI Media Sales Stats screen (05-10-06) to view statistics for media codes only.
The following are the sales statistics categories:
Media Codes
This category is used to measure the effectiveness of your various advertising campaigns. When Media Tracking is activated in Trans Entry Pre-Prompt (02-18-01, ‘Media Tracking’ preference) the ‘Media’ drop-down box appears in POS Entry (02-02) and Order Maintenance (02-08-02). From this list you can select the form of advertising that brought the customer into the store (Referral, Company Website, Social Media, TV Commercial, Printed Media, etc.). The options that appear in this list are set up in this selection.
Age Codes
During POS Entry, you can enter a two character age code in the ‘Age’ field on the Customer Maintenance window (click the Maint button on the Customer tab). This age code corresponds to an age group defined in this selection.
M/F Codes
During POS Entry, a one character gender code can be entered in the ‘Sex’ field on the Customer Maintenance window. This gender code corresponds to a gender group (e.g. Male, Female) set up in this selection.
When the Sales Statistics Report is printed, any transactions for which a media code, age code, and/or gender code was not entered are categorized as ‘Unknown.’
