How To: Adding New Territories / Markets / Districts (30-02-06)

This tutorial describes how to set up new territories, markets, and districts.

  1. Click ‘New’. The ‘New/Maintain Record’ window opens.
    • The fields that display are different, depending on the tab that you were on when you clicked the ‘New’ button.

  1. In the ‘Territory’, ‘Market’, ‘District’ , or ‘Service’ field, enter a name for the designation (up to six alphanumeric characters.)

    For example, if this territory, market, district, or service market contains your ‘C’ stores, you could enter “C” in this field.

    NOTE: Although you can enter up to six alphanumeric characters here, only the first three characters for these names can be entered at the top of the Branch Maintenance screen (30-02-02).

  1. In the ‘Description’ field, enter a longer description for the designation. It must be at least two alphanumeric characters.

  1. Click ‘Ok.’
    • Click ‘Cancel’ to exit the window without saving the entry.

  1. Repeat Steps 2-4 until all entries for the designation are completed.

  1. Click ‘Cancel’ to close the window.

    The territories, markets, districts, and service markets that you just created appear on the respective tabs.
