How To: Downloading the Dispatch Track Delivery File to Tyler (02-08-12-06)
Overview
The following steps describe how to move the delivery file created by Dispatch Track into Tyler.
Step-by-Step
- In the Warehouse field, select the warehouse for which delivered orders will be downloaded to Tyler. Choose All and delivered orders from all warehouses/branches are included.
- In the ‘Import PC File’ field, enter the path/location of the Dispatch Track file. For example, if the file is named ‘dispatchtrack_export.txt’ and is saved on your C: drive, you would enter “C:\dispatchtrack_export.txt” in this field.
IMPORTANT: The ‘Input file using FTP’ option is no longer available.
- Check ‘Update Order Status to Checked-In’ if you want to automatically change the status of the delivered orders to ‘4-Checked-In.’
- Check the ‘Update Order Header Route’ box if you want to update the Route, Delivery Date and Time fields on the Order Maintenance screen (02-08-02) with the information from the Dispatch Track delivery file.
- The Time field is updated with the Stop Number, not the actual time of day.
- If you use Centralized Delivery or manually update the order header information (through Order Maintenance), it is recommended that you do not use the ‘Update Header File’ option.
- If the Date, Route, Stop Number, Time Start, and Time Stop information from the Dispatch Track delivery file should be stored in a Tyler side file, check the ‘Update Side File Route Info’ box.
- The side file is used to sort the orders for printing (Packing Sheets and Standard/Long Method Invoices).
- Click OK.
