Field Definitions: Monthly COGS and Misc Listing (05-05)
Overview
Below are the field descriptions for the Monthly COGS and Misc Listing selection.
Fields

Branch
This column is organized by store branch.
Description
This column displays a description of the product type.
Prod Type
This column displays the product type when the line represents the total for an individual Non-Inventory product type. The column displays a “***” for merchandise lines.
Sales
This column displays the total month-to-date sales from the S/A Primary File (05-91-15) for the product type.
NOTE: The merchandise line is a total of all inventory product types. The merchandise figures in the regular report and the Package Analysis figures are mutually exclusive.
COGS VP
This column displays the month-to-date cost of goods sold, calculated at the vendor price from the S/A primary file (05-91-15).
GM VP
This column displays the gross margin based on the sales and COGS VP.
COGS UC
This column displays the month-to-date cost of goods sold, calculated at the unit cost from the S/A primary file (05-91-15).
GM UC
This column displays the gross margin based on the sales and COGS UC.
Units Sold
This column displays the month-to-date unit sales from the S/A primary file (05-91-15).
Current Inv
This column displays the value of your current inventory for merchandise lines.
NOTE: This number comes from the S/A primary file and is only updated when the ‘Update S/A Inv Figures’ selection (05-02) is run.
Current GMROI
This column displays the gross margin return on investment based on sales, COGS VP, current inventory, and the ‘Avg Days Updated’ on the Sales Analysis menu. This figure only appears for merchandise.
