How To: Viewing Orders in a Batch (02-08-19-21)

Overview

This tutorial describes how to view orders in a batch.

  1. In the ‘Batch will show these’ box at the top of the screen, check the status(es) that an order line must have in order to appear on the right of the screen when an individual batch is clicked. See the Order Statuses section of this document for descriptions of each status.

  1. In the Allow Quickship box:
    1. Click ‘Never’ and you will not be able to open an order in Quick Ship directly from this selection. When you click an individual order line in a batch, the system will automatically open the order in Order Maintenance.
    2. Click ‘Ask’ and when you click an individual line in a batch, a window appears asking if you want to open the order in Order Maintenance or Quick Ship.

  1. To only include batches that contain a specific item, enter that item number in the ‘Find Item’ field. Leave the field blank to include all items.

  1. To only include batches that contain a specific order number, enter that order number in the ‘Find Order’ field. Leave the field blank to include all orders.

  1. Click Refresh.
    • Whenever the preferences at the top of the screen are changed, you need to click Refresh to update the results.

  1. The order batches appear. Click a batch number on the left side of the screen. The order lines in the batch appear on the right side of the screen.

  1. Click an order line.
    1. If the ‘Allow Quickship’ box is set to ‘Never’ the order opens in Order Maintenance. When you close the order, you are returned to the Orders in a Batch selection.
    2. If the ‘Allow Quickship’ box is set to ‘Ask’ the Choose an Option window appears. Click ‘Inquiry/Maintenance’ to open the order in Order Maintenance. Click ‘QuickShip’ to open the order in Quick Ship. When you close the order, you are returned to the Orders in a Batch selection.

  1. Click Export to download the information on the screen to your computer (optional). Accept the pre-prompted save location, or enter a new one. Then click Ok.
    IMPORTANT: Since the exported file is tab delimited, save it with a ‘.txt’ extension.
