Field Definitions: Sales by Store (05-41-11)
Overview
Below are the descriptions of each column on the Sales by Customer report.
Fields
Cust
The customer number appears here.
Name
The customer name displays in this field.
Region
The region in which the customer made purchase(s) appears here.
Store
This is the store at which the customer made the purchase(s).
Sales $
This is the total sales dollars for the customer at the region or store.
# Tickets
This is number of sales tickets on which the customer has purchased items.
IMPORTANT: The next two columns (‘Avg Units’ and ‘Avg Unit$’) only appear if the ‘Average Number of Units’ and/or ‘Average Unit Price’ boxes are checked, respectively, in Sales by Store Preferences (05-90-03-11). Additionally, you can exclude return tickets from the calculations by checking the ‘Exclude Returns’ preference for one or both of the columns on the preferences screen. For details, see the Preferences section of this document.
Avg Units
This is the average number of units per ticket. It excludes Non-Inventory product types and is calculated as follows:
(Total Units* / Total Tickets)
*This is the total quantity of all items on all tickets (including negative quantities and excluding Non-Inventory product type items).
NOTE: If the ‘Exclude Returns’ preference is checked, negative quantities are not included in the calculation.
Avg Unit$
This is the average unit price. It excludes Non-Inventory product types and is calculated as follows:
(Total Sales$ / Total Units*)
*This is the total quantity of all items on all tickets (including negative quantities and excluding Non-Inventory product type items).
NOTE: If the ‘Exclude Returns’ preference is checked, negative quantities are not included in the calculation.
GP$
The gross profit dollars for the region or store appears here.
GM%
This is the gross margin percentage for the region or store.
GP%
The gross profit percentage for the region or store appears here.
Return%
This is the percentage of all sales for the region or store, that is comprised of returned merchandise.
The next four fields only appear if the ‘Last Year’ box is checked on the Definable Columns Setup window.
Sales LY $
The sales dollars from last year appear here. The date range being used for this calculation appears in the box at the bottom of the screen.
$ Diff%
The percentage difference in sales from last year to this year appears in this field.
# Tickets LY
These are the number of transactions from last year. The date range being used for this calculation appears in the box at the bottom of the screen.
T Diff %
The percentage difference in number of tickets from last year to this year appears here.
The next field only appears if the ‘Floor Sales’ box is checked on the Definable Columns Setup window.
Floor%
This is the percentage, of all sales for the branch, that is comprised of floor model items.
