How To: Viewing Hard Errors in QERRLOG File Inquiry (34-80-01)

Overview

This selection is used to view all hard errors that have occurred in TylerNet for a specified date range. Tyler Support uses this data to track errors and determine what area of the system has malfunctioned.

Step-by-Step

NOTE: Tyler Support will guide you through using this selection when needed.

  1. In the ‘Program’ field, enter the program code for the program the error occurred in.
    NOTE: The Program code is case sensitive and cannot be entered partially. An incomplete program code will not load results.

  1. In the ‘Partition’ field, beginning with a “P” when needed, enter the partition number the error occurred in.
    NOTE: The partition is case sensitive and cannot be entered partially. An incomplete partition number will not load results.

  1. In the ‘From’ and ‘To’ fields, enter a date range for the error(s) or select it from the calendar.

  1. Check the ‘Include Error Code 30’ box to include Error Code 30 errors in the results.

  1. Check the ‘Include Error Code 88’ box to include Error Code 88 errors in the results.

  1. Click ‘Refresh’ to load the results.
    • Double-click on a result to open more details about the error log.

  1. Click ‘Export’ open the report directly in Excel (and also save it to your computer).

    Accept the pre-prompted save location or enter a new one. Then click ‘Ok.’

    NOTE: The save location must exist on your computer in order for the report to open correctly in Excel and save successfully to your computer.
