Introduction: Brand/Vendor Cross Reference (04-54-90-01)

Overview

This selection is used to associate an item’s brand with a vendor. These cross references are used by Auto Build of POs (04-54-03) and Vendor Price Protection (04-30-01).

Special Notes

• When cross referencing an item’s brand with a vendor, Auto Build of POs and Vendor Price Protection will always look at this selection first. If a brand/vendor cross-reference is not found here, the system then looks for an existing vendor with a name that exactly matches the brand name. If it does not find one, an error message appears and you will need to either set up an cross reference through this selection (recommended), or create a vendor name in A/P Vendor Master (11-30) that exactly matches the brand name.
• To associate a brand with a vendor in this selection, the vendor must already exist in A/P Vendor Master (11-30).
