How To: Adding/Changing G/L Account Titles (02-18-07)
Overview
This selection is used to set up and maintain account titles for miscellaneous expense accounts (e.g. Postage, Office Supplies, etc.). These account titles appear on the Amounts to G/L screen (02-04) and are assigned to an actual G/L account using the G/L Account Number selection (02-18-06).
You can set up a maximum of eight miscellaneous account titles.
Step-by-Step
- In the ‘Screen Display’ field, enter the title for this account, which will appear on the Amounts to G/L screen.
If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.
- In the ‘Top Print Title’ field, enter the short title to be printed as the top line of a two-line heading on reports.
If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.
- In the ‘Bottom Print Title’ field, enter the short title to be printed as the bottom line of a two-line heading on reports.
If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.
NOTE: Deleting all the fields of an existing account title will remove it from the system.
