How To: Adding/Changing G/L Account Titles (02-18-07)

Overview

This selection is used to set up and maintain account titles for miscellaneous expense accounts (e.g. Postage, Office Supplies, etc.). These account titles appear on the Amounts to G/L screen (02-04) and are assigned to an actual G/L account using the G/L Account Number selection (02-18-06).

You can set up a maximum of eight miscellaneous account titles.

Step-by-Step

  1. In the ‘Screen Display’ field, enter the title for this account, which will appear on the Amounts to G/L screen.

    If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.

  1. In the ‘Top Print Title’ field, enter the short title to be printed as the top line of a two-line heading on reports.

    If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.

  1. In the ‘Bottom Print Title’ field, enter the short title to be printed as the bottom line of a two-line heading on reports.

    If this is an existing account, make any necessary changes to the title.

    NOTE: Deleting all the fields of an existing account title will remove it from the system.
