How To: Adding a New Credit Status (12-23)

Overview

This tutorial describes how to add a new credit status using the Credit Status Maintenance selection.

  1. Click the ‘Add’ button at the bottom of the screen. The Add New Record window opens.

  1. In the ‘Type’ field, enter a two character credit status.

  1. Enter a description for the credit status in the ‘Description’ field.
    • If status “H” is being added, enter a description that warns sales and warehouse personnel of the account’s status prior to the entry of sales or delivery of merchandise (e.g. “Hold-Contact Credit Mgr*”). Additionally, ‘Credit Status Is ‘Hold’/Contact Credit Mgr****’ prints on the Picking/Packing Sheets.

  1. Click ‘Add.’

  1. The window closes and the credit status now appears in the credit status list.
