Introduction: Route Completion by Route (21-05)

Overview

This is an optional selection used to record start and stop times for deliveries/service.

When the driver/technician arrives at the customer’s residence or business, they will access this selection to record an arrival/start time. When the driver/technician leaves the customer’s residence or business, they will re-access this selection to record a left/done time. At this point the order will also be assigned a reason code. The default code is ‘D’ for Done, meaning that this delivery/service is completed. However, if there are other circumstances (customer is not home, driver became ill, etc.), the appropriate reason code will be entered.

NOTE: A reason code of ‘D’ signifies that the delivery/service has been completed in Centralized Delivery. If this selection is not used, orders are automatically assigned a ‘D’ code when updated through Order Update (02-08-16). When you access a completed order in the Scheduler, ‘Completed’ appears in the ‘Status’ column of the ‘Existing Schedule Entries’ box.

Screens

Depending on how your routes and terminals are set up, different screens appear when you access this selection.

Terminal Branch Assigned To Route

If the branch assigned to the terminal (in System File Management (30-01)) is also assigned to a route, the system automatically displays any schedules that meet the route/date criteria.

If schedules are found, they display on the screen and you can add arrival/done times, change the header information, add comments, and view each schedule in the Scheduler.

No Schedules Found

If no schedules are found, the ‘Date, Head, Exit, Tab’ prompt appears. From this prompt, you can change the date for the route (to find a day with schedules) and modify the header information.

The header information includes the driver/tech information, mileage start, mileage end, route starting and ending times for the day and off time starting and ending times.

Terminal Branch Not Assigned To Route

If the branch assigned to the terminal (in System File Management (30-01)) is not assigned to a route, you will first need to select a route. You can select from a list of routes that are assigned to a specific branch (by entering a branch in the ‘Branch’ field) or you can select from a list all routes (by pressing Tab in the ‘Branch’ field).

When a route is selected from the list for a date that has schedules, the schedules will display on the screen. If the selected route does not have any schedules for that date, the message, ‘No Schedule Details Found for this Route/Date,’ appears.
