    Description

    Beginning Method
With this method, the system will narrow the search based on how much information that you enter. Beginning with the first character of the last name (or company name), enter as much of the name as is known.

    Using the sample data below:

    • If you enter “M” all of the names will display in the search results.
    • If you enter “MAC,” only the first five names will display.
    • If you enter “MACMASTER,” only ‘MACMASTER ELECTRONICS CORP’ and ‘MACMASTER, PAUL’ will display.

    Ellipsis (…) Method
The Ellipsis Method allows you to search by all or part of the first name and all or part of the last name together.

When the beginning of the last name (or company name) is known, it is entered, followed by three periods, and then followed by another part of the name (for example, the first name).

    Using the sample data below:

    • If you enter “MAC…ED,” only “MACAULEY, EDITH” and “MACMILLAN, EDWARD” will display in the search results.

    Sample Data

    1. MACCAULEY, EDITH
    2. MACMASTER ELECTRONICS CORP
    3. MACMASTER, PAUL
    4. MACMILLAN, EDWARD
    5. MACMILLAN, PAUL
