How To: Changing Customer Information (20-01)

Overview

This tutorial describes how to change information for existing customers.

  1. When an existing Customer Number has been entered, the customer information displays.

  1. Enter the row number to be modified and the cursor positions to that row for modification. If necessary, press Tab until the cursor is positioned in the field that needs to be changed.

  1. If any changes are made to the record, the following abbreviated prompt displays upon exit of the field:

NOTE: Do not exit the selection until you have tabbed through this menu. If you enter “X” and press Tab, all changes made to the customer’s information will be lost.

  1. If you need to enter comments for this customer, enter “C” and press Tab.

  1. Enter any customer comments desired.
    • To change comments, use the up and down arrow keys to highlight a line and enter the new text.
    • To insert a new line, hold ALT and press “I”.
    • To delete a line, hold ALT and press “D”.
    • When done, hold ALT and press “E”, or press Tab to exit the comments window.

  1. Once you have exited the comments window, make sure to press Tab to save the customer information. Exiting before pressing Tab will cause all changes to be lost.
