How To: Deleting Individual Sub-Items from a Package (03-06-01)

Overview

This tutorial describes how to delete individual sub-items from a package.

  1. In the ‘Item#’ field, enter the item number of a package that already has sub-items assigned to it.
    • Click the Search button to the right of the field to look up an item.
    REMEMBER: A package item is set up in Inventory Master File Inq/Maint (03-01) and has a product type of ‘PKG’, ‘PKS’, or ‘XX+’.

  1. Check the ‘Delete’ box to the right of the item that you want to delete.

  1. At the ‘Are you sure you want to delete Sub Item # xxxxx’ prompt, click ‘Yes.’

  1. Repeat steps 2-3 until all desired sub-items are deleted.
    NOTE: If you delete all sub-items from a package, the Package Item, also known as the Package Header (in this example ‘HDPKG’), still exists. To remove it, delete the package item from Inventory Master File Inq/Maint (03-01).
