In Memoriam: Christine Rice

Christine Rice
1952-2017

On Thursday morning, July 27, 2017 Christine Rice suddenly collapsed and passed away at the Tampa International Airport. It was a shock to her family in New Jersey and her Tyler Net family.

As we come to terms with the reality of her passing we will remember her for her unrelenting devotion to our customers and our company. She would go anywhere at any time to help a customer. She was a fountain of knowledge who always placed the interests of others above everything else.

While Chris was a true professional, she was an even better person.

We miss her dearly and we are thankful that she was a part of our lives for so many years.

May she rest in peace.

She is missed everyday by all of us here at Cowboy Maloney’s. Even today I still think of calling her when I need help on payroll issues. I was very fortunate to meet her and spend time with her when she visited us for special training. She will never be forgotten.

It’s a Pound of Paper, that’s what Chris called the RDB manual. She left such an impression on me, not once not twice, but every time she spoke. What she didn’t teach me during our training sessions, she taught me to teach my self.
I have worked with the system just about every day since 2004, and I can truly say that I think of Chris just about every day I’m on the system.
    She is missed!

I was sitting here struggling with Tyler tonight and started hunting to find help on the new General ledger system and how my thoughts wondered back to Chris Rice and how she would have talked me thru the problems I was having. We signed on with Tyler in 1998 needing a multi Corporated system that a small furniture store could use to buy out his competitor that ran two different account recievables and would have a shared inventory. All at an affordable price. We were among the first to sign on with an on line system and it was run over a rural telephone system. We would punch a key and wait. Over the years it has progressed to a system that is almost as fast as direct in put. I can’ tell the difference. Chris Rice was the catalylist for this with the small retail store..

I had Chris schedule several 3-4 day training sessions to La Grange, Georgia on several occasions. Expensive but very well worth the expertise we added to our associates at Beechwood.

Chris we miss you and all the special things you did to make Beechwood sucessfull.

May you rest in peace as you will be highly missed by our associates and my family as well as myself,

    REST IN PEACE
