Introduction: Room List Maintenance (02-08-90-07)

Overview

This selection is used to define the options for the Room list, which is a drop-down box that appears on the Detail Tab of the Point of Sale Entry screen (02-02).

The Room list can be used for a number of different purposes depending on your specific company needs. For example, you could define the options that appear in the list as ‘Family Room’, ‘Dining Room’ and ‘Master Bedroom.’ When an order is entered in POS, you would select a room for some or all of the items added to the transaction. When GUI invoices and Packing Sheets are printed, they will be organized by room so that delivery personnel can quickly see where to place the item(s) in the customer’s residence.

Special Notes

  • The Room list will not appear on the POS screen unless the ‘Allow Room Entry’ preference is set to Y in Order Preferences (02-08-90-01).
  • You can change the name of the Room list using the ‘Text Label for Room’ preference in Order Preferences.
