How To: Entering Cost Factors (04-01)
Overview
This tutorial describes how to enter Cost Factors on the PO Entry/Maint screen.
Step-by-Step
The cost factors window appears during P/O Entry when you press the Tab key in the ‘PO Cost’ field or click the ‘Cost Changes’ button. The Cost Factors set up in A/P Vendor Master appear in these fields by default.
NOTE: The Net Cost will not display until these amounts are verified.
- In the ‘Accrued Co-Op’ field, accept or modify the Accrued Co-Op amount.
NOTE: An entry in this field results in an Accrued Co-Op amount being automatically moved to an A/R account beginning with ‘A.’ If you do not want the dollars passed to Accounts Receivable, leave this field blank.
- In the field to the right, specify if the Accrued Co-Op should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
- In the ‘DFI Co-Op’ field, accept or modify the DFI Co-Op amount.
- In the field to the right, specify if the DFI Co-Op should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
NOTE: A percentage will be converted to a dollar amount and then accumulated with any flat dollar amounts on the purchase order. This accumulated amount is then pre-prompted during P/O – A/P Entry (04-20). Remember, any DFI Co-OP accumulated amount will not be interfaced.
- In the ‘Accrued Rebate’ field, accept or modify the Accrued Rebate amount.
NOTE: An entry in this field results in an Accrued Rebate amount being automatically moved to an A/R account beginning with ‘X.’ If you do not want the dollars passed to Accounts Receivable, leave this field blank.
- In the field to the right, specify if the Accrued Rebate should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
- In the ‘DFI Rebate’ field, accept or modify the DFI Rebate amount.
- In the field to the right, specify if the DFI Rebate should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
- In the ‘Discounts KCFunds’ field, accept or modify the Key City Funds amount.
NOTE: An entry in this field results in a Discount Amount being automatically moved to an A/R account beginning with ‘K.’ If you do not want the dollars passed to Accounts Receivable, leave this field blank.
- In the field to the right, specify if the Key City Funds should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
- In the ‘Discounts MDFunds’ field, accept or modify the Market Development Funds amount.
NOTE: An entry in this field results in a Discount Amount being automatically moved to A/R account beginning with ‘D.’ If you do not want the dollars moved to Accounts Receivable, leave this field blank.
- In the field to the right, specify if the Market Development Funds should be calculated as a percentage of the PO Cost or a flat dollar amount.
