How To: Sale Pending Method 2 – Reviewing the G/L Postings, A/R Account and Sales Analysis Reports
Overview
This tutorial describes how to review the G/L Postings, A/R Account, and Sales Analysis reports when using Sale Pending Work Orders Method 2.
Step-by-Step
- Run Selection 10 on the General Ledger menu. This report should include all postings from the closed sales day and the cost of parts from Work Order Audit/Update (07-05).
- If there are no parts costs on the report, it’s because the ‘Post to G/L now’ prompt was answered “N” during Work Order Update. The information is still in the file and will be updated the next time Work Order Update is run (and “Y” is entered at the prompt).
- If the ‘Post Non-Inventory Product Type Costs’ box is checked in Ticket G/L Interface (02-18-13), an additional posting will be included for Non-Inventory Product Types from the cost of labor.
- Review the A/R account that charges were applied to and prepare for statements to be printed.
- Run the Sales Analysis Monthly COGS & MISC report (05-05). Find the LABOR ( L1%) for the branch where the Sale Pending transaction was processed. The amount in the ‘COGS VP’ column for this product type should include the labor costs.
